Tech Prep

College Prep with a Technical Focus

The ACJVS offers three Tech Prep programs: Computer Information Systems (CIS), Computers, Networking & Electronics Technology (CNET), and Design Drafting.

Each program provides students with a curriculum of college prep courses and technical education to facilitate successful advancement from high school to college and a career. The ACJVS offers these programs through Lakeland Community College, located in Kirtland, Ohio.

Prerequisites for admission to Tech Prep programs are: minimum “C” in Algebra I, minimum 2.0 G.P.A., credits in-line for graduation, and all proficiencies passed.

Enrollment in the Tech Prep programs include the following benefits:
. College credit for ACJVS coursework
. Tech Prep scholarships
. Regional & state Tech Prep showcases
. Leadership camp experience
. Compass testing (College admissions test)
. Lakeland application fee waived
. Lakeland College ID for use of athletic facilities and campus library
. English and math tutoring program
. Advisors to help with college applications/student aid forms
. Opportunity for membership in the National Tech Prep Honor Society
. Choice of attending the ACJVS as full-time student, or attending the
ACJVS for the technical portion and taking academic subjects at your home school.
