Marketing at Howland High School The ACJVS Marketing program at Howland High School prepares students for success in retail sales, merchandising, promotions, advertising, and business management by offering a curriculum that includes classroom simulations, work experience, and academics.
In the morning, Marketing students study selling techniques, advertising, merchandising, business math, written and oral communication, customer and employee relations, and management skills. In the afternoon, students put their knowledge to work at a real job.
Through several large projects, Marketing students gain knowledge of the economy, free enterprise systems, and accounting. Marketing students also operate a school store that provides hands-on merchandising, display and selling experiences.
Graduates of the ACJVS Marketing program at Howland High School are prepared to immediately enter into employment as sales associates, display coordinators, or marketing assistants. This program also prepares students for entry into college or business school.
