Health Care Tech Enter the Caring Professions
Careers in the health field are growing at a fast pace.
In the ACJVS Health Care Technologies program training for certifications can lead to immediate employment in health care or serve as entry into a two-year or four-year college. Students learn health related theories and practice with hands-on experience so that they are prepared for a full range of health care and related careers.
First year students learn basic dental assisting, basic nurse assisting, dental/medical office procedures, and medical terminology.
Second year students will learn medical transcription, medical assisting, advanced dental assisting, anatomy, & physiology, radiography, phlebotomy.
Students may opt to enroll in Basic Chemistry or in Integrated Science III to complete their state science requirement. Following completion of this program, students will learn a curriculum that allows them to earn a state tested nursing assistant license during their junior year.
