Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)

Certifications: Upon successful completionof the program, students may take both, the EPA 608 certification exam and the new Universal R-410a Safety & Training certification exam.

Students completing HVAC will be qualified for employment in various heating and air-conditioning shops and businesses. The course covers recent legislation regarding environmental control for freon recovery, safety and laws. In addition, students learn light commercial and residential air-conditioning, refrigeration, heating systems (electric, gas, oil and heatpumps) HVAC field service and troubleshooting.
